X-Detect Common Issues

.

  1. After installing, you must go to the START button, then
 PROGRAMS--->XDetect to start the program

 2. During installation, if certain files are not detected, they will
 be installed in addition to the X-Detect program. You will go
 through two installation routines - this is normal.

 3. A small minority will receive a "Run time error 429: ActiveX component 
can't create object".  If this happens, you may need to download a patch from
Microsoft at: 

http://download.microsoft.com/download/vb60pro/Redist/sp4/win98/EN-US/VBRun60sp4.exe

The download should take 5-10 min, after which you should click on the downloaded file and
let it install.  Reboot your computer, and then try X-Detect again.  If you still have problems,
